USS New York

The USS New York, launched in 2007, is a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock. Built by Boilermakers and other members of the New Orleans Metal Trades at the Avondale Shipyard, the New York has the distinction of incorporating  seven and a half tons of steel salvaged from the World Trade Center following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
